About Kohler
Kohler is a family-owned American manufacturer of plumbing fixtures — baths, toilets, taps and sinks — based in Kohler, Wisconsin. In 2024 it separated its energy business, which makes generators and engines, into an independent company majority-owned by the private equity firm Platinum Equity, leaving the Kohler name more closely tied to kitchen and bath.
For most of the period the search data is flat, with a yearly average between 33 and 36 from 2022 through 2024. It then rises to about 42 in 2025 and around 56 so far in 2026. Interest peaks every spring and dips in December, with the highest week of the series in April 2026.
For a brand this established, a flat curve is the normal state: everyone who renovates a bathroom already knows the name, so search volume tracks renovation activity rather than brand awareness. The rise since 2025 is therefore best read as a stronger renovation cycle, with premium fixtures benefiting, rather than as Kohler reaching new audiences.
There are two cautions. The name is also a place — the village of Kohler and its resort and golf courses — so not every search is about plumbing. And the April 2026 high is shared almost to the week by several other home-improvement names here, which makes it a reading on the season more than on the brand.
