About Rippling
Rippling is a workforce platform founded in 2017 by Parker Conrad and Prasanna Sankar. It started with payroll and HR and has expanded into IT, device management and finance, built on the idea that a single employee record should drive every system a company runs.
Search interest rose slowly for years — a yearly average of about 7 in 2022, 10 in 2023 and 13 in 2024 — then more than doubled to around 28 in 2025 and reached about 40 so far in 2026. The highest week falls in April 2026.
2025 was the year Rippling became news beyond its own market. In March it sued its competitor Deel, alleging that Deel had placed a spy inside the company; the employee involved admitted to it the following month, in what Fortune called a major scandal rocking the HR world. In May, Rippling raised $450 million at a valuation of $16.8 billion. Both events put the name in front of audiences who had never shopped for payroll software.
That is also the caveat. A name searched because of a court case or a funding headline is attracting readers, not necessarily buyers, and searches for a company that is hiring heavily include job seekers. The fact that interest kept climbing into 2026, after the story had faded, suggests the underlying growth is real — but part of the 2025 jump is attention rather than demand.
